Safeguarding Children With Medical Dietary Requirements
We’re passionate about children’s health and inclusive mealtimes. That’s why we offer special diet menus for children with medically diagnosed dietary requirements, where it is safe for us to do so. Medical dietary requirements may be due to food allergy, intolerance, coeliac disease or other medical conditions.

To provide a special diet menu for your child, you must inform us by registering on the FEED app by selecting the food allergens your child needs to avoid, or indicating additional allergens or other medical dietary requirements through the ‘something else’ option.
Depending on the type of medical dietary requirement, you may select and order meals through the app, with any dishes containing allergens you have registered blocked from ordering.
For other dietary requirements informed through the ‘something else’ option, you will be provided with a tailored bespoke menu for meal option information. These ‘bespoke meals’ can be ordered via the app.
Please note, we will not be able to cater for a child with medical dietary requirements unless they have been registered.
Important Allergen and Ingredient Information
We use the medical dietary information registered on the app to identify suitable dishes for your child. Dishes identified as suitable do not contain the specified ingredient or allergen as an intended ingredient and are not labelled by our suppliers as having a may contain warning, if any of the 14 legislated allergens are to be avoided.

Our kitchens use shared equipment, including ovens, where different dishes may be prepared or cooked at the same time.
While we take great care when preparing your child’s food and follow strict procedures to minimise the risk of cross-contact, including separate serving utensils, we cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free from traces of allergens or ingredients.
For this reason families of children with severe allergies, or other medical conditions, should consider this information carefully when making meal choices.
Parents/guardians have full responsibility to keep medical dietary information held on the app up to date to ensure we have the correct information to provide suitable and safe meals.
Nutrition Information
Nutrition information is provided for all meals on the FEED app.
We can also provide a nutrition and portion weight information report for the full menu on request, which may support conditions such as type 1 diabetes. Please contact us to request a copy by emailing: FEED@uk.issworld.com

Dietary Preferences

If your child dietary requirements such as vegan, vegetarian, halal or specific food likes and dislikes which are not due to a medical dietary requirement, there is no need to register your child as having a medical dietary requirement as you may select meals suitable for dietary preferences via the app.
Please note we are unable to create a special diet menu without accompanying medical documentation to confirm the request.
More Information
Our operational, nutrition and food safety teams work closely with kitchen teams and schools to provide training, ensure appropriate identification measures are in place and to enable meals that are suitable, safe, nutritious, and familiar, helping children who require a special diet menu enjoy meals alongside their peers.
